I will never look at bananas the same way again

I watched an amazing documentary today, in preparation for my work on the Twitter Chat team next week at Open Cinema.

The doc is called Big Boys Gone Bananas, about a Swedish filmmaker sued by Dole because of a documentary he made that the 'big boys' at Dole didn't like. It is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen.

Not only does the film bring up issues like freedom of speech, democracy, corporate responsibility, journalism, and ethics, but the story is riveting to watch.

I can't wait to see it with a live audience at Open Cinema. If you're in Victoria, come to the Event Centre at 7 pm (doors open at 5:30) on March 20 (next Wednesday). Not only is the documentary being screened, but afterwards there is a panel discussion about the issues raised in the film.

No matter where you live in the world, you can still take part by watching the film (below), renting the film online (below), and then following the discussion on Twitter using the hashtag #opencinema. The discussion and Twitter Chat begin at around 20:45 PST.

I'd love to know what you think!
