Last week I wrote a behind-the-scenes post about my recent video shoot with the gang at Dancing with the Octopus. I've now completed editing, and it's time to reveal the finished product.
Our little video (below) announces a world-wide short video competition. We basically pose the question: What would change if your government was composed of at least 75% women? In most countries, men dominate government, so we want to hear what people think their world would look like if it were the other way around. We're asking people to submit really short videos (2 minutes max) and be as creative as they like with it.
The best part? The winning video, chosen by a jury of Canadian female politicians, wins $500.
Enjoy the video. It was created by myself, director Sandy Mayzell, and three student interns. And if you want to enter the contest (or learn more about it) all the details are at dancingwiththeoctopus.com.
